Senior Infants – Room 11
We have some great boys in Senior Infants this year, we can’t wait for all the fun we are going to have together!
We will be doing lots of Aistear this year, on a range of themes. Here are some photos of the boys playing/
Blue Day 2017
We had great fun on Blue Day this year. We all wore blue to support the Dubs in the All-Ireland final, and we sang Molly Malone and lots of Dublin chants.
We went to look for Autumn leaves at the front of our school. We found lots of brown, orange, yellow and red leaves, we are going to use them in our Arts and Crafts.
Aistear in Room 11
We have Aistear every morning and we get to take turns with : Role Play; Construction; Small World Play; Arts and Crafts; Puzzles and Playdough.
RSA Talk on Road Safety
We had a visit from Lisa from the RSA and she told us great stories all about keeping safe on the road. We learned about always holding somebody’s hand, always stopping, looking and listening before we cross the road, and making sure everybody has their seat-belt on in the car.
We started Reading Buddies with the boys from Ms. Keyes’ 4th class. Every week we will get to read with our reading buddies in the library.

We have been very active lately in Room 11, everyday at 10:00 a.m. we have taken part in ten minutes of exercise. We used the videos on RTE Junior to help us and we had great fun!
We love reading in Room 11 and we have D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) time everyday. One group gets to sit in our Calm Corner for D.E.A.R. time each day.
We have been learning about different jobs people do in the community. We have a Garda station for Role-play in Aistear and we’ve had great fun, poor Mr. Eviston was even arrested!
We have started G.A.A. with Colly a coach from Parnell’s G.A.A. club. We have had great fun working on our fitness and hand-eye coordination.
